Therapeutic Climbing
Therapeutic climbing is a relatively new therapy and unique on Texel. Various scientific studies show positive effects from climbing.
Therapeutic climbing includes strength, coordination, flexibility and endurance.
When to climb therapeutically?
Therapeutic climbing can help treat various complaints and problems (see below). Therapeutic climbing is also very suitable for children.
- Improve knee and ankle stability or core stability
- Improve strength in the shoulders, arms and hands
- Improve the scapulohumeral rhythm (the movement of the shoulder blade over the chest).
